Manchester Pride has just confirmed the addition of three major acts to its 2025 festival lineup: global icon Nelly Furtado, local DJ legend DJ Paulette, and South African powerhouse Moonchild Sanelly.

Set to take place from Friday, August 22 to Monday, August 25, Manchester Pride 2025 is gearing up for four unforgettable days of music, community, and celebration. The full lineup has now been revealed, with Nelly Furtado set to co-headline Sunday’s Mardi Gras alongside Olly Alexander in what’s expected to be a night of electrifying performances and LGBTQ+ pride.

Famed for her genre-blending hits like Maneater, Promiscuous, and Say It Right, Nelly is expected to bring her signature energy and powerhouse vocals to the stage, promising an epic close to the weekend.

Joining her on the Sunday bill is DJ Paulette, a Manchester native and dancefloor icon known for her ability to ignite crowds with feel-good, high-energy sets. Her presence will bring an authentic and unstoppable Pride vibe to the heart of the Gay Village.

Also joining the festival is Moonchild Sanelly, who will open the weekend on Friday night at the Gay Village Party. Known for her bold sound and fearless attitude, the South African artist will deliver her unique “future ghetto punk” style to launch the celebrations with a powerful statement.

Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride, shared his excitement:
“Adding a global star like Nelly Furtado, alongside trailblazers like DJ Paulette and Moonchild Sanelly, highlights the diverse musical experience we’re curating for Pride 2025. These artists will create standout moments that reflect the energy and spirit of our community.”

He added a call to action:
“Manchester Pride 2025 is set to be vibrant and unapologetically proud, but we’re at a crucial point. Pride only thrives when we all show up—through participation, parade presence, and purchasing supporter bands. Without unity, Pride cannot flourish. This is the time to stand strong, protest with joy, and ensure our Pride shines for generations to come.”
