Madonna has deleted a Margaret Thatcher related Instagram post

The pop star came under fire this week after posting a reference to the ex prime minister after, Madge captioned a picture of the late Mrs Thatcher

“If you set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing. Thank you Margaret Thatcher! #unapolgetic #rebelheart (sic).”

No explanation was given to why Madonna later deleted the snap however it is thought it was due to fans reactions to the photo. Madonna’s rebel heart album is out now, which she is touring later this year.
